We are boring this year. Veronica visited her sister in CT and we're off to visit them again next month and then off to Ray's sister in Ohio for Meghans wedding but that's all for now. Then again we're in such a great area our weekend travels are nearby. We've been visiting wineries in our city as well as up in Paso Robles which is a short drive away.
We've also been hiking all over the county. Veronica bought a book on hikes in San Luis Obispo and we've found some really cool hikes. We also took a local college class on the geology of the area and spent the weekends in the classroom and then spent 3 weekends traveling all over the Central Coast.
We found a fun hike behind Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. There is an old collection of artistic and futuristic monuments from the architectural and engineering departments of the school. Some of the experimental projects include a geodesic dome, a stick house, shell house and an underground house...gotta love California, wonder what they were smoking when they built the spongebob barnicle looking house. I can now say that spongebob does not live under the sea, he lives in Cal Poly Design Village.
